Established shortly after the project inception, the 5G-Blueprint Advisory Board consist of renewed independent experts in mobility, transport, and logistics who provide their unique knowledge, critical thinking, and analysis with the aim of advancing the project and helping it to achieve its objectives.
More specifically, the members of the Advisory Board provide advice to the project consortium on its direction and the relevance of project results to policy, in addition to facilitating industry participation and exploitation strategies. All 5G-Blueprint Advisory Board members have been appointed by the project Steering Committee based on their strong expertise and interest in the field and have signed the Collaboration Agreement.

Guus Arts
Senior Product Manager Advanced Technology at DAF Trucks
Guus earned his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. After being involved in various projects in the area of automotive engineering sciences at the University of Eindhoven and the University of California (Davis), he started his career at DAF Trucks in the area of driveline innovations leading to lower CO2 emissions and air quality improvement. In this period, he also became the coordinator of the EU Horizon2020 project ECOCHAMPS. As a Project Manager in the department of Advanced Technology, Guus is responsible for innovation projects on Advanced Driver Assistant Systems development.
Emrah Kinav
Senior Research and Development Management Expert at Ford Otomotiv Sanayi
Emrah received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from Yıldız Technical University. Emrah is currently a Senior R&D Management Expert at Ford Otosan, a joint venture of Ford Motor Company and Koç Group – the largest industrial group in Turkey – and one of the leading product development centers of Ford Motor Company.
Jan Egbertsen
Innovation Manager at Port of Amsterdam
Jan earned his MBA in management and logistics from the Technical University Twente. Jan has worked for Akzo Nobel as a project manager strategy and as a business consultant for the development of business cases for start-ups and small and medium sized companies. Jan joined the Port of Amsterdam in 1994 as a project manager strategy. At the moment, he is an Innovation Manager at the department of strategy and innovation, which focuses on IoT, digital port development, and logistics and transport.
Ori Marom
Director of Smart Mobility and 5G at the Port of Rotterdam
Ori is a lead of Smart Mobility & 5G at the Port of Rotterdam and the Board Member of the SAE Industry Technologies Consortia. At the Port of Rotterdam, he is responsible for 5G infrastructure projects and the integration of connected autonomous machines, such as self-driving trucks, into port-systems. Before joining the Port of Rotterdam, he was a start-up entrepreneur and served on the faculty of the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University. Ori holds a Ph.D. in information systems economics from the University of Rochester, an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a bachelor’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) in economics and management from Tel Aviv University.
Juliette van Neerijnen
Digital Innovation Manager at TNL Logistiek
With extensive experience in the logistics sector, Juliette is responsible for driving digitalization at TNL Logistiek. She follows-up on new technologies, digitalization for supply chain efficiency, and manages and develops the TLN Logistiek’s platform to enable big logistics service providers to connect and share knowledge on innovations and entrepreneurship.
Jan Goderis
President of the International Container Barge Operators (ICBO)
Jan has extensive experience in inland navigation and remote controlled and semi-autonomous navigation. He currently serves as the President of the International Container Barge Operators and the COO of Seafar. He attended the Antwerp Maritime Academy and holds an entrepreneurial MBA from the Flanders Business School and Kellog University. After spending several years at sea as a Deck Officer, he held different positions in marine claims, ship operations, and chartering and started his own company in logistics and inland navigation.
Leen Balcaen
Senior Director for Industry Solutions at HERE Technologies
Leen is a senior leader with 20 years of experience in the Geo-Location Content/Services Industry with an extensive technical knowledge of spatial databases, navigation product lines, and consumer-facing applications. During the last 5 years, Leen has worked on Smart Cities, (Urban) Mobility and Transport and Logistics. Since March 2020, Leen has been leading the global HERE Content Architecture team. Leen holds a master’s degree in Geography from Ghent University.
Daniel Sevenhans
Technical Coordinator, Traffic management Department, City of Antwerp
Daniel earned his master’s degree in electromechanical engineering from the University of Brussels. After several responsibilities in manufacturing automation and IT project management, Daniel is currently working as a technical coordinator at the traffic management department of the city of Antwerp.
Ton Zwiers

Ton has the role of Spectrum Manager and Market access at Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur, the telecom agency of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate in the Netherlands whose role is the executor and supervisor of legislation and regulations in the field of telecommunications Ton is appointed representative in the Member State Administrations and Accreditation Bodies representative in the Radio Equipment Directive Compliance Association.
Hans Erkelens
Logistics and Maintenance Consultant at Provincie Zeeland
Hans is advisor for logistics and maintenance at the Province of Zeeland, the provincial government, is committed to economic development, growth and renewal in Zeeland covering the strategic location in the sea, between Rotterdam and Antwerp. Hans role is to support the overall transition logistics sector: Digitalisation, Big Data, energy transition, robotisation and autonomous driving and sailing.
